Unfortunately, I haven’t found too much information about my Kiebzak ancestors prior to arrival here in the U.S.

Grandfather – Walter Stanley Kiebzak

1914

Walter Kiebzak was born on November 19, 1914.

1938

Walter married Genevieve E. (Zawisza) Kiebzak, my grandmother.

Walter worked as a mechanic at Skillen Excavating Co.

2002

Grandpa split his time between his Summer home in Florida that he shared with my Uncle Don. His brother, Frankie, and his wife, Pat, lived down the street.

2012

Walter died on September 11, 2012, in Buffalo, New York, at the age of 97, and was buried in Cheektowaga, New York.

Great-Grandfather - Jon (John, Jan, Ignacy) Kiebzak

1885

Jon was born in Poland/Austria (Sulkowoec, Galicia) on May 13, 1885. He had 8 siblings.

1911

Here arrived in U.S. on May 11, 1911.

1913

On January 21, 1913, he married Victoria (Wiktoria) Kieta in Buffalo, NY. They had 9 children, including my grandfather, Walter. He worked as a blacksmith, a laborer in a band factory, and for Curtiss Aeroplane Co. They lived at 38 Bush Street in Buffalo, NY.

Wiktorya Kiebzak was born on June 18, 1886, in Warszawa, Mazowieckie, Poland, the daughter of Anna and Tomosz. She married Jon (John, Ignacy, Jan) Kiebzak in 1906. They had nine children in 14 years. She died on December 12, 1963, in Erie, New York, at the age of 77, and was buried in Cheektowaga, New York.

1963

John passed away on March 6, 1963.

Great-Grandmother – Wiktorya (Victoria) Kieta

1886

Wiktorya Kiebzak was born on June 18, 1886, in Warszawa, Mazowieckie, Poland, the daughter of Anna and Tomosz.

1906

She married Jon (John, Ignacy, Jan) Kiebzak in 1906. They had nine children in 14 years. Their marriage license was announced on January 10, 1913.

1977

She died on December 12, 1963, in Erie, New York, at the age of 77, and was buried in Cheektowaga, New York.

2nd Great-Grandfather - Joseph 'Polikarp' 'Polikat' Kiebzak (Kiebsak)

1853

Joseph ‘Polikarp’ ‘Polikat’ Kiebzak (Kiebsak) was born in 1853, the son of Agata and Michal. He had nine sons and two daughters with Anna Kiebzak between 1883 and 1912.

1932

He died on March 23, 1932, in Buffalo, New York, at the age of 79.

2nd Great-Grandmother - Anna Kozlak

1862

Anna Kozlak was born in 1862 in Sulkowice, Austria, Poland, Russia. She had 11 children with Joseph ‘Polikarp’ ‘Polikat’ Kiebzak (Kiebsak).

1928

She died on June 30, 1928, in Buffalo, New York, at the age of 66.
